Today, we’re shining the spotlight on Vanessa, the amazing owner of Mooeys Petersfield, who went from being a loyal client to running her own thriving salon. Her journey is full of passion, dedication and genuine love for the Mooeys ethos and it’s one we’re incredibly proud to share.
Falling in love with Mooeys
Vanessa first discovered Mooeys the way many of our clients do, through word of mouth and a bit of curiosity.
“I first discovered Mooeys when I tried to book in as a client and they told me they had no space for the next 10 days! I didn’t believe it at first,” she laughs. “But then I looked at their reviews and could see they were obviously very, very good. So I was patient, I waited and I was not disappointed.”
That first visit made a lasting impression.
“The reason I fell in love with Mooeys was because everyone was really nice, just really lovely. I became quite ill at one point and the girls really looked after me.”
It was that sense of care, kindness, and community that made Mooeys stand out.
“I wouldn’t have ever gone anywhere else. It was the kindness and caring of the team, as clients, we were all treated well and the standard of work was really high.”
From client to franchisee
At the time, Vanessa had no idea that Mooeys was expanding through franchising.
“I didn’t have social media at the time and I didn’t realise franchising was going on, so when I found out about Haslemere being franchised, I was very shocked!”
That discovery led to a conversation with Mooeys founder, Amy, and a spark of inspiration.
“I had a meeting with Amy who explained everything to me. I began looking for a property in Petersfield and Amy met me there. She really liked the area, it’s a market town and a bit of a destination place.”
With her signature determination, Vanessa found the perfect spot and opened Mooeys Petersfield in 2021. Since then, the town and the salon have gone from strength to strength.
“Petersfield has changed a lot and improved so much. We’re even getting a ‘The White Company’ soon, which shows how the area is growing. That’s why there’s so much growth in the business at the minute.”
A salon built on heart
Vanessa’s leadership style is grounded in kindness, empowerment and teamwork. Values that perfectly align with the Mooeys brand.
“My biggest highlights have been the sweet things the girls have done for me, like celebrating birthdays and milestones. The willingness of the team to go the extra mile for clients is incredible.”
She shared one particularly touching story:
“Lauren and I once went to the hospital to visit a client to do her nails because she was missing having them done. I thought that was very special.”
That level of care sums up exactly what makes Mooeys Petersfield and Vanessa, so loved.
Supporting the community
Giving back is also a huge part of Vanessa’s journey. The Petersfield team regularly supports local causes through their charity days.
“Our next chosen charity is Sophie’s Legacy, a group that really helped Hollie while she’s been in hospital. They provide meals and arts & crafts for the children, which is just wonderful.”

A true believer in the brand
When asked what she loves most about running her own Mooeys, Vanessa’s pride shines through.
“I’m a true brand believer and I promote that in the salon everywhere. I’m all about women’s empowerment and I do that through how I manage the team. I encourage them to think outside the box and show me their strengths.”
She’s passionate about helping her team grow too:
“Lucy is naturally suited to be an Assistant Manager. She shows so much leadership and comes up with great ideas. Also Tasha, our lash and brow specialist, is winning awards, which is incredible!”
Vanessa’s advice for future franchisees
Vanessa’s journey from client to franchise owner is proof that with passion and hard work, anything’s possible.
“If you want to do it properly, you’ve got to give it 110%. It’s not a quick buck, it takes time. One of the reasons I am where I am today is because I’ve really worked my socks off and my staff have done the same. Without that strong team and determination, we wouldn’t be where we are now.”
From that first appointment to now leading a thriving salon, Vanessa’s story embodies everything Mooeys stands for. Kindness, dedication and a love for making people feel amazing.
