Treatments
Pedicures done properly.
Dry pedicures with optional gel polish. More hygienic, more accurate, and the results last longer. Lovely and relaxing too.
Dry pedicures, by choice.
Every Mooeys pedicure is a dry pedicure. No foot soak, just expert work on your feet exactly as they are. We made that choice deliberately, for hygiene and results reasons (we’ll get into those in a moment).
The short version: dry pedicures are cleaner, more accurate, and the results last longer. Super relaxing, just without the foot soak.
Why we choose dry.
Cleaner
Hygiene is a big part of why we work dry. Every tool we use is sterilised between clients, every file is fresh, and there’s no shared water touching any feet during the treatment. It’s a simpler setup, and a cleaner one.
More accurate
Working on dry skin lets your Moo see exactly where the calluses, hard patches, and dry spots actually are. The work is more precise because we’re targeting the real problem areas, and the result reflects what your feet actually need.
Lasts longer
Dry filing removes the actual dead skin, layer by layer. We reach it directly, which means smoother feet for longer between pedicures.
There’s a quieter benefit too: no waiting around. We just get on with looking after you.
The treatments
Quick
File and Polish
A quick file, shape, and a coat of standard polish on the toes. Around 30 minutes. Great if you’re short on time or just want a fresh colour applied before a holiday or a night out.
- Best for: A quick toe refresh, a colour change between full pedis, or pre-holiday tidy-ups.
- Polish: Standard polish.
- Lasts: Around 5-7 days of polish wear (feet are gentler on polish than hands).
Nurture
Moocure for feet
A full pedicure with all the proper bits: dry filing, hard skin removal, cuticle work, foot massage, and a finish. A Little Treat skips the polish; Moocure adds standard polish on top.
- Best for: Anyone who wants their feet properly looked after, with or without colour.
- Polish: Standard polish optional (Moocure includes it, A Little Treat skips it).
- Upkeep: None needed. Book whenever you fancy. Every 4-6 weeks works well for most people.
Natural
Gel Pedicure
Gel polish in your colour of choice over a standard base. Includes the full pedicure. The polish lasts noticeably longer than gel on hands, because toenails take less of a battering than fingernails.
- Best for: Anyone wanting longer-lasting colour, holidays, or summer toe season.
- Lasts: Usually 4-6 weeks of perfect polish, sometimes longer.
- Upkeep: Soaked off and redone every 4-6 weeks.
Stronger
Gel Pedicure with Builder Base (BIAB)
Gel polish with a builder base for added strength. Useful if your toenails are weak, splitting, or struggling to hold standard gel. Same look, more support.
- Best for: Weak or splitting toenails, anyone whose gel keeps lifting on toes.
- Upkeep: Soaked off and redone every 4-6 weeks.

The questions we get asked.
The short answer is no, you don’t. Dry skin shows your Moo exactly where the calluses, hard skin, and problem areas are, which means the work is more targeted and the result lasts longer. If you’re used to soaking, you might worry you’ll miss it; most clients find they don’t, and the treatment is just as lovely without the soak in front.
Yes, that’s part of why we work dry. Every tool we use is sterilised between clients, every file is fresh, and there’s no shared water during the treatment. The only feet involved in your appointment are yours.
Depends on the service. A quick file and polish is around 30 minutes. A full Moocure or gel pedi is around 60 minutes.
Yes, gel polish on toes is one of our most popular pedicure services. It lasts really well (often longer than on hands because feet don't get the same wear and tear) and looks exactly the same as a standard gel manicure, just on your toes.Â
Usually 4-6 weeks, sometimes longer. Toenails grow more slowly than fingernails and don’t take the same hammering, so gel on toes lasts noticeably longer than gel on hands. People often find they could go even longer between appointments, but the toenail growth starts to show after about 6 weeks even if the polish itself is still perfect.
Then a pedicure is exactly what your feet need, and please don’t feel embarrassed. We see all kinds of feet, and your Moo’s job is to look after them, not judge them. If you’ve got anything you’re nervous about (hard skin, ingrown nails, cracks, anything else), just mention it when you book and we can plan the appointment properly. There’s nothing you can show us we haven’t seen before.
Calluses and hard skin are part of the regular work in a full pedicure. We file them down properly and leave you with much smoother feet. Ingrown toenails we can ease and help prevent from getting worse, but if it’s properly infected or very deep, we’ll suggest you see a podiatrist or GP. We know where our scope ends and we’re honest about it.
A File and Polish is a quick file, shape, and standard polish on the toes (around 30 minutes). A full Moocure pedi includes hard skin removal, cuticle work, foot massage, and a finish (around 60 minutes). The full version is what your feet actually want, especially if it’s been a while.
Yes, pedicures are safe throughout pregnancy. In fact, they’re often one of the most welcome treatments later in pregnancy when bending down to reach your own feet becomes properly tricky. Let your Moo know which trimester you’re in and they’ll position you comfortably.
Yes. Same as on hands: French, chrome, simple line work, and other designs are all on the menu. Have a chat with your Moo when you book about what you're after.Â
Keep your feet moisturised, try not to soak them in hot baths for at least 24 hours, and give gel polish 15 minutes to fully set before putting closed shoes on. Beyond that, pedicures don’t need much aftercare. That’s part of why they’re so good.
Every 4-6 weeks works well for most people. More often if you’re very on your feet or have particularly problematic hard skin; less often if you’re mostly in soft shoes and your feet behave themselves. Once you find a rhythm that suits you, your Moo can help you book recurring slots so you’re never scrambling for an appointment.
